Like the original group from 1947, the Baker's Dozen of today is entirely student-run. The group elects its leaders from among current members - a Pitchpipe, Business Manager, Winter Tour Manager, and Spring Tour Manager - and these four guide the group through the year.
The Pitchpipe, or Pitch, selects the repertoire, leads rehearsals, and conducts the group in performances. The Business Manager, or Biz, books concerts, handles the group's finances, and is the primary contact with the public. The Tour Managers each take on the enormous responsibility of planning a tour - arranging concerts, transportation, and all of the adventures that make tours the most memorable experiences the BDs have while at Yale.
